This project introduces a new Janadriyah-style building in a heritage site in the Qassim region, complementing an existing traditional structure. Covering 200 square meters, the building serves as a space for official meetings and guest receptions. Constructed entirely of clay, it reflects local heritage while promoting sustainability and energy efficiency. The clay walls provide natural thermal insulation, keeping the interior cool in summer and warm in winter, while reducing energy use. The design harmonizes traditional aesthetics with modern functionality, preserving the cultural identity of the Janadriyah style and supporting heritage tourism in the region.
Site Climate Study: Sun, Wind, and Rain Patterns
Architectural solutions for hot and dry climate
High-level windows are integrated into the design to allow ventilation and moisture
control, enhancing comfort while preserving the character of Saudi traditional architecture.

The design features narrow shaded corridors made of palm trunks that reduce heat and sunlight exposure. The facade uses two natural tones to soften the building mass, with light floors enhancing openness and harmony with the surroundings. Constructed with mud walls, the building ensures natural insulation, humidity control, and energy efficiency.
